We are excited to announce that we would be able to provide the Covid vaccines soon to our Flagstone community. [Likely from 21st of this month - To be confirmed]

We would start with Astrazeneca Vaccines, and soon Comirnaty vaccine[Pfizer] when they are available.

All eligible patients would be informed via SMS and email, about the booking process.

We apologize for the delay in providing the vaccines - as we needed to wait for the Queensland government's permission, being a brand new practice.

The Australian Government has created a portal containing news and information about the development, approval process and plans for rolling out COVID-19 vaccines.

In our rollout, COVID-19 vaccines will be available in phases. Groups of people get the vaccination at different times. The groups are Phase 1a, Phase 1b, Phase 2a, Phase 2b and Phase 3.

Flu vaccines 2021 NOW available

2021 flu vaccines, now available.

As promised, we are again doing flu shots free for everybody living around the flagstone area.

This is our commitment towards making our flagstone community flu-free this year. Immunising against the influenza virus saves lives and helps lower the risk of diagnostic uncertainty between the flu and COVID-19.

Given that COVID-19 vaccines are expected to roll out soon, it is important that everyone prioritizes the flu vaccine. This includes families with children.

The current supply is for AGES between 5 and 64. [We are awaiting supply for Ages less than 5 and over 65]. We will update you when they arrive.

Electronic prescribing is a convenient alternative to paper prescription.

eRx Script Exchange is an Australia-wide internet based gateway allowing prescriptions to be sent electronically and securely between doctors and pharmacists. The patient can elect to receive the prescription token via SMS, email or paper printout for each item prescribed. Once in possession of their token(s) the patient can present the token to their pharmacy of choice or send to them via SMS, email or a medication management app.

Iron Infusions.

We are doing Iron infusions in our practice.

IRON INFUSIONS @ Flagstone Family Practice.

If you’re anaemic (a condition caused by a lack of haemoglobin/red blood cells in the blood) or have trouble tolerating iron supplements, you could benefit from an iron infusion. An iron infusion delivers iron directly into the bloodstream through a vein.

Iron deficiency is often treatable with simple dietary changes or with the addition of a daily supplement until the levels are back to a healthy range. In more severe cases though, an iron infusion might be recommended by your GP to give you a faster, more immediate result.
